Put in down on all fours again... and yes those are ET streets on the front from my other car. I've been wheel shopping but I need to get
the sheetmetal back on to see how much offset is required. Thinking of 20s all around or maybe a 22/20 combo

In this picture (http://i545.photobucket.com/albums/hh38 ... 5-1606.jpg) is the back surface of your steel bracket contacting the frame and then braced up the side? Or is it spaced away from the frame and then braced?

Also, I love how you shorted the frame and bed to make it a swb. Kudos to your craftsmanship.

Just the rear portion is touching/welded onto the frame. I remember tack welding them in first then added some bracing.

Love your truck man. What brake booster/MC did you use? I just picked up a cv front end fully loaded for $100. The guy is letting me take anything I want, minus the frame, so I was going to grab the brake booster/mc.

On the back the bs is 3.75" on a 10" wide rim.

I used a GM astro van hydroboost with a C3 vette master cylinder.

My crown vic setup is almost complete but I got a power steering leak. My truck came with power steering do I need to change the pump to the crown vic one?

You do not need to change to the CV pump. Locate your leak & fix. All will be good then.

I just read your entire thread and I have to say you've done a great job on your truck! If I hadn't already promised myself that I would never cut on my current bump, I'd already be looking for a Vic to strip! Oh well, if I ever build another bump or a dent, I'll know exactly what needs to be done now! Keep up the great work!

One question I recently thought of; what suspension do the Lincoln Town Cars have under them? Is it the same as the Crown Vic? If so, that could be another resource for parts. And the Town Cars have air ride, don't they? :dk:

The stance and wheel combo is awsome!!!! Do you have a problem with the front wheels scrubing when you turn them?

Nice work! I have a 73 long bed and want to do the same thing to it. We have had the truck for about 15 years now and it's just been sitting rotting away. Hope to start on it soon.

JG F100 wrote:Got the parking brake working, feels good to not have to grab a block of wood to keep it from rolling down the driveway. I used one of the OEM explorer cables for the passenger side and bought a longer cable at lowes to get the drivers side working. I also bought a long bolt and shackle to make them reach. Seems to be holding up and should be enough to pass inspection.

Would you remember if it was the short or the long explorer cable? you used. I'm up to this point and don't really want to shorten cables if I don't have to.
