I used a hydroboost from an astro van and corvette master cylinder, both can be found really cheap. Works great.

A went ahead and ordered a new rear bumper and brackets from Dennis Carpenter. Felt it was really missing something...

I had to cut a little piece of the leaf spring bracket, maybe I cut too much frame off the ends? DOnt know but it looks good to me.

Is the hydro booster from the astro van a direct bolt on. or do you have to modify it?

Not a direct bolt on, had to modify the firewall and shorten the rod length. There are pictures of it somewhere in this thread

thanks

No kidding I love the stance on this truck also. I'd like to achieve the same stance with the DJM dream beams. I hope this is possible. Sweet looking truck, what brand of wheels, size please and tire size also. Thanks

Finally got around to notching the frame out back, went to a local steel supply and found a few plates of 3/16" cut to the right size in their scrap pile. paid about $15 bucks for a few of these...

Image

I used one of the narrow pieces to bend the notch but I cheated a little, I cut shallow grooves in it to get a clean bend, I then threw a bead over it...
Image

almost forgot to weld a nut in there for the bumpstops...

Boxing plates...

Other side tacked in...

I hated to do it too but I needed more clearance, I had about an inch and half between the frame and axle. Without getting into the bed floor its a necessary evil.
