Well the weather has been decent--so I kinda jumped over to the 67 and stole some parts--brake(stainless)lines and the rear gas tank.Got everything cleaned up and painted--then installed on the 70.

Well since my last post---I've finished painting my frame(engine&tranny area--lotta of cleaning)installed new shocks and rolled her outside(covered of course)for now.My 76 donor truck is coming this weekend--all my front end parts +.The engine is torn down and I'm getting parts cleaned and I've also moved onto this.
Image
Image
The shiny spot are drilled out spot welds---ALOT
Image
I cut the front of 67 box off for this repair--it's laying the box
Image
Believe it or not--out of the 3 boxes I have, this one is the best and I'm using the 67 box to piece it back together
Image
The floor in the 67 was completly shot and the drivers side was caved in,my other box has a great floor, but the sides have issues.Which ever way I swap its gonna be a PITA because of the spot welds(side panels) and where there located and this is the ony way I will disasemble--I dont want magor body work to hide a hack job.I'm gonna post a thread in Body
"Full Bump" for the other part of this box overhaul.
I've had enough and I'm not alone

Chassis saver---it has alot of the same principles as POR or the Eastwood
Encapsulator. Just cleaned off the loose or flacky rust and apply it right over it. Any other parts I painted(smaller)were bead blasted and cleaned, then primered(2-3 coats) and finished coated twice.
Heres a pic of my parts before bead blastin(sorry no after shots)
Image
:maybe: I'm undecided on wether to paint or powdercoat yet,but I kept moving on the box repair and my full bump change
Image
Patch plate needed to reinforce my new outer peice
Image
Yes I agree thats a lotta rust  but when I'm done with repairs--I'll turn the box on end and sandblast(buddy dropped it off yesterday)the crap out of it and treat it with chassis saver + a coat of undercoating :D
This is the last pic for this post(outer skin in place),my other pic are gonna be in my Body& Paint post http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... hp?t=32017
