Dropped the truck off at a shop yesterday to have the rear pinion looked at. Noticed it was loose. They rushed it in and pulled it apart today. Crush sleeve was over crushed. I'm sure i did it when i had to replace the yoke a year ago after i broke one of the ujoint cap tits off. Both pinion bearings were in terrible shape. New pinion bearings, crush sleeve, pinion seal, and Amsoil gear oil. Ran up a big bill I was not expecting which really blows but it is what it is and it had to be done.
Picked the truck up right after work and took it to the shop and got the rear shock mounts all done and the rear 2.5x12 swayaway's on. Also fab'd the tabs for the driver side upper link, just need to machine out some 1.75 .250 DOM to accept 1 1/4" heim bungs and bolt it in.

Sick welds and nice flex on that Highboy, way to go! I think I may have to drop my Highboy off to you to do some work on it!

Got the truck all ready for the long haul to KOH. I was very excited. Took it to CHP for the blue tag. Things went south. Quick. The highboy i bought when i was 15 for the chassis, was stolen. I now risk losing the truck. Unreal.

Yeah, that's a real poke in the nuts. I'm not familiar with CA, but what options do you have now that the .gov know you possess the stolen frame?

Hoping things work out for the better but I also think I'd consider parting out the truck before it get's confiscated so you only lose the stolen parts. I'd also do a consultation with a good lawyer and gather your documentation up before hand.
