When the right buyer at the right time comes around it was time to sell the Mercury and is going to a fellow Mercury enthusiast who is up sizing from a 66 M100 to the M250. It saddens me a bit that I didn't get completed as I was so close but it was only here to get me thru the winter and that it did in spades!!!
I had to at least give it a final polish and wax before it left and to installed a little badging.
I would like to thank all of you that helped me out along the way with your knowledge and insight as I reassembled this old girl,  it was a fun project that will end up being a nice little truck for him to drive. A parting pic

but will come a snooping here probably on a regular bases to see all the projects. Thanks again to all and good luck! :fr:

Sad to see the old girl go to someone else, but when there is a buyer, one can't dismiss that.

You have to hurry up and buy another bump so that we can keep hearing from you Willy!!

Bummer- it's like getting to the last chapter of a good book then losing the book. Sad to see this one go - but perfect buyers don't come along very often. I wonder how long you'll make it before you have another one in your garage. :D

Wow  , I haven't been very regular here due to being so busy and then I come back to this! I can't believe you sold her! Well, life goes on. I really enjoyed seeing her come together. Hope you stick around or maybe get another Bumpside.

I was wondering why this thread was so far back... Sorry for your loss.. Hopefully the new owner winds up here, and you end up with another 67-72 Ford truck to rebuild!
