How much does my trailer weight?

Post by Flightman91 »

Good morning,

I purchased a trailer, the back half of an 87 f150 8 foot bed with an aluminum camper cap for $150, which I thought was a good deal.

Anybody know how much this might weight?

Most scales will weigh it for a couple bucks. You can do it in one go if you know the tongue weight. Just stop with the truck on the scales and the trailer off, note the weight and see how more it is with the trailer on the scales too.

You can also gather up some scrap metal.
Pull up on the scales & weigh with the load of scrap metal, unload & pull back on the scales empty.

My local landfill has a scale for trailers. Maybe yours does as well?
