Help Pricing My 360 for Sale

Post by Cal2121 »

I have a 360 block and heads with approximately 75K miles on them. I'm removing the intake and other external parts/brackets to go on a 390 that I am having rebuilt. I was thinking I would sell the 360 block and heads. Engine does have a small leak in the rear, otherwise not issues. What's a good price range for selling it? My location is Northern California.

Thanks for the help.

I bought a 352 block a couple of years ago off of craigslist. It was out of a '66, came disassembled, and had block, pistons, crank, connecting rods, 2bbl intake, heads, exhaust manifolds, and misc doo-dads. Nothing special, some of the external parts were junk (which was okay, since I was going to replace them anyway) or missing. Mileage was unknown. I paid $200 for it, as-is.

I think I sold my running 360 for $250, air filter to oil pan a couple years ago to a guy who posted a wanted ad in the local shopper. New buyer was an older guy and really happy to get it. Said it fired right up once in it's new home.
