Now that the steering stabilizer is on and works great. It is on to the next item on my to do list. While I wait for the 3 point seat belts, and rear slider to show up I am moving on to the wiper delay. What with the truck working me over and yard work beating me up. Now tomorrow I start my weekly work days at the cemetery.
Just filling my time until my Lady gets back from her trip. Didn't know how much I would miss her. I deal with it by working my rear off to fill the time. Keeps me out of trouble.

If you run out of things to work on, take a little trip to N.E. Texas. I always have a project needs doing or finishing.

On my way
Actually since I retired out of active duty and moved back to my home area I have been busier than before I retired. Ya retired
Got more elderly relatives that I help than I can shake a stick at. They tend to forget I am getting there myself.

Re: Next on the list
I am interested in going with a steering stabilizer, sliding rear window, and 3-point belts myself. Would you mind discussing those three jobs and give us a heads up on what to look for as we do these upgrades?

The Moog SD20 steering stabilizer was a fairly easy install. Although I did have to cut a inch or so off the u bolts that connect the piston end to the steering shaft to keep them from tearing the boot.RFF1971 wrote:I am interested in going with a steering stabilizer, sliding rear window, and 3-point belts myself. The stabilizer helped tighten up the loosey goosey feel of the old school PS when going down the road. It also helped when hitting the bumps with the Bump
The seat belts and rear slider are up for install today and tomorrow. I have a few other projects going at the same time. Don't we all

Exactly the improvements I wanted to dive into! Seatbelts ordered. Windsheild washer has been addressed, but would like the delay. Rear window will be done this Winter while shooting paint. Steering stabilizer is definitely on the agenda after hearing your comments and another local guy saying how easy it was and a major improvement in handling.

I just ordered a SSD20 for mine of Amazon for $50 as it was pretty sketchy at times while dragging dad's boat to the river. The tail was definitely wagging the dog.
