New addition to the family 1967 F100

I have a relatively early 67 according to the VIN. Looks like October 66 built in Norfolk. Its a 352 3 speed on the column, no PS or PB. I was reading the technical articles on the special one year only 67 quirks and noticed no mention of a truck with a dash and heater controls like mine. Anyone else have a dash like this? Also the tag says my hp is 172 at 4000 rpm whereas the article says 204. Just wondering if this earlier truck is different from the later ones in 67.

I believe there are posts somewhere on this site about this. If I remember right its very rare to not have the push pull heater control knobs under the radio. Do the research and let us know.

I've heard that back in the day heaters were an option in warm climates , maybe it was dealer installed later ?

I think they were the very basic model heater. The deluxe ones had cable remotes.

The farthest left know is the push pull turn type know we are accustomed to. It works perfect. For defrost you just have to reach down and turn the bent rod sticking out of the heater box under the dash. If you look close you can see it.

Yep. I'd prefer to have one of those vs. the late model super deluxe binding cable version. I finally gave up and chucked the defrost cable and set the lever mid way. My water valve leaks by so it's either hot or really hot in the cab with the windows up.
