Show off your shop! (Contains large photos)

Post by jbyrd »

I know the first thing that I do when I go to someones house is check out there shop or garage. So post pics of your work/play area and share with everyone where you have fun working on your projects. Here are a few pics of what I have built for my uses:

My "small project" workshop:

jbyrd: Because of the size of these photos, I edited your post to just show the links to the photos, to save a little bandwidth, so each photo wouldn't have to be automatically downloaded every time somebody checks out new posts on this thread.

That's a NICE work area you have there....and CLEAN! Man, I can't remember the last time my shop was that clean. Wait a minute, yes I can....the day before I moved into it!

Looks like you've got a lot of woodworking tools....is that a hobby of yours too?

I haven't taken a shot of the whole inside of my shop for a while. Here's one from about a year ago, before I sold my Studebaker pickup project to make room for the Ford. It's rearranged now, but almost as cluttered.

http://www.fordification.com/images/shop-of-parts.jpg

The car in the background under the car cover was a '72 Pontiac LeMans that has since been parted out. In fact, the engine and tranny from it is listed on Ebay right now. Now the only vehicles in the shop are my '67 F-100 and my '67 442.

Here's a shot of the outside taken last summer. The parts truck out front is a '68 F-100 that I use more for reference than anything else...but it'll be supplying some patch panels for repairing some cab rust. In fact I just cleaned out the shop and rearranged stuff again so that I can push it inside to get started cutting it up.

Thanks for editing that. Now that I think about it, that would be a lot to d/l at one time.

Bare in mind that I just finished remodeling these shops so expect them be trashed post haste!

I like the amount of room you have FORDification, I hope to have a 30 x 60 steel building built on my property in about 5 years. Then it is on like donkey kong.

Hey Keith if my shop was as big as yours, I would just live in it! It must be nice to have that much space to move around in. Oh and bet it helps to keep the cold out when you shut those doors!

I would be embarrassed to show pics of my shop as it is currently filled with my Mother-in-laws crap from a storage auction. I have had to resort to using tarps and extending the workspace into the driveway.

Here's my shop. It's cold in the winter, hot in the summer, and needs better lighting when the sun goes down. :D

The only advantage i have over that is a Flood light, which I need to do jumping jacks in front of every 3-5 minutes to turn it on! And of course i have a tarp overhead!
