Need 460 Alternator and Power steering brackets and pulleys

Post by Ripsnorter »

I'm looking for an alternator bracket that sits HIGH or midway on the engine, WITHOUT a smog pump etc.

The 460 I have has the alternator sitting way down low.

Also looking for a NON-A/C saginaw power steering pump bracket. Just something simple so I can get rid of this big clunky one I have.

I'd also like a set of 2 slot crank and waterpump pulleys for running just water, alt and power steering.

Zipcode is 98591 for shipping

If still interested I've got the complete set of pulleys and brackets for p/s, a/c non smog, alt, and correct p/s pump for a
'69 460.
Will not break up the set.

Thanks Big Block, but I need it to not have the A/C. I have a ton of 69 Lincoln Mark IIIs around here, and they have a big bulky bracket that combines the A/C and the P/S. They also have the Alt sitting way down low on the pass side. Does your Alt sit up high or low?

SVT I've been looking at CVF, i was just hoping to not have to spend $300 or more on pulleys and brackets.

Just curious why you want the alternator up high?

because when the previous owner transplanted the 460 into this truck, the low mount alternator hit the crossmember. So, like any good redneck, they just cut a big slot out of the crossmember to make room for it.

Now that I've got the engine out I'm going to fix the crossmember and want to move the alternator up to fit like it should have been in the first place.

I have 1970 brackets on my 460 and the alternator doesn't come anywhere near the frame or crossmember...
