yes i know it is pontiac, but if anyone knows where i could find a 428 motor in the kansas, nebraska, easterm colorado area please let me know

Pontiac? I know ford makes a 428 FE motor.

it goes in some mid 60's car, the emblems say 428. a neighbor is looking not me, just helping the kid locate one

try 281 auto salvage in Great Bend KS, 800-282-9017. Hope that helps ya.

sorry it took so long to respond, was knocked out of action by one heck of a gunk bug, I will pass the info on to the kid that is looking for this motor

the 428 Pontiac engine is one of Pontiac's large journal engines.

Common Pontiac large journal displacement engine's were 421, 428 and 455 CID.

could call BR-549 samples sales where junior is as honest as the day is long

Try Hiperformer from Spokane for affordable remans with 7 year warranties...

You can find them on eBay or on their website. Their website can also help you locate used motors, if they are available.

455 will probably be easier to find than that 428... look for 67-70 Catalinas and Bonnevilles as donors...
