Hello from Kansas

Post by wellben »

Hi everyone,
I am kinda new to the whole world of Highboys. I just bought my first truck being a 1969 ford F-250 4x4. Now I'm in college and looking to restore it. I look forward to seeing the project move along and hopefully with the help of my fellow truck enthusiasts.

Hey everyone,
Thank you for the warm welcome! I would post a picture but in all honesty I'm the worst college kid with a laptop. How do you post a picture on here? Also, Alberta Kansas where is that in relation to McPherson?

Hey-
McPherson, huh? You're going to THAT college? Are you in the auto restoration school?!! If you are, I am green with envy! Albert is a wee little burg a few miles West of Great Bend. I live 6 miles from there. In the boonies. Down on the farm. Where you can hear the old cars rusting on a still night! Gotta keep 6 to 10 cats around to guard my stuff from the mice and packrats. Wee little buggers!
Best of luck, young man!

here's how to post pics of your highboy for us to drool over: First take a pic with your phone camera and then email the pic to your email address. It will show up in your email on your laptop. There you click on it and download it, where it will probably wind up in your "downloads" folder. Rename it to something you can relate to.

To upload that photo, log into fordification and get here.

click "Post a Reply"
click "Attachments" near the bottom left of the reply screen
then click "add files"
go to the folder with the picture, probably "downloads" then "open"
find the file, click "open"
the file will appear in the box at the bottom. Put your text cursor in the message text where you want the picture to appear, then click "place inline" like so...
69 410.jpg
Reposition it if you need to, then then click "Preview", look at it to see if it's what and where you want, then click "Submit"
Voila... you did it! Hope this helps.

So first off thank you for explaining how to upload a picture. Mike I am going to that college and in that program, maybe when the trucks up and running I will see you around. And this was the day I bought the truck from the original owner also known as the Oregon State Park Ranger Service.
