1968 Open Road F350 Dually

Post by Benthere1973 »

Hello, Ive posted a few times but had previously been unable to upload photos. Here is my ride. It is a 1968 F350 Dually Open Road camper. It has the fold down back patio. Powered by the original 360. I changed a few things. Seats from a 1992 Eddie Bauer Bronco and switched all the interior lights to LED. Also reconfigured inside a bit but its basically all original. 33k original miles. Finally got the kinks worked out and it gets 10mpg consistently at 6000ft towing a 14.5 ft boatImageImageImageImageImageImage

I don't think that worked but the pics are in album Benthere1973. Hopefully you can see them there.

I see a few differences between yours and mine, but a lot of similarities too. The legs on the patio look exactly the same, as does much of the interior (the steps up to the cab over bed, rear seating orientation, stove/sink layout, walk through cab, shower/toilet compartment).
Great looking motor home

You have to grab the /source link to post up through the Img code. No biggie. Looks to be in pretty good shape for the shape it's in.

You can also include pictures as an attachment (bottom of the page when you're writing a comment) and they'll show up in the post.

Thanks. The family loves her. Looks like my pics did upload. Cool. Its a great ride. We tow the boat or bring the motorcycles. It came originally with front and rear receivers so my Crf 450 goes on the back and the daughters Crf 50 goes on the front. One other thing I did do was buy the heavy duty lighting harness from LMC. My headlights were cutting out on me at night coming down the hill into Tahoe after a day of fishing. Not fun! Well worth the $50. Plugs right in to original headlight wiring harness, grounds and a wire to the ignition solenoid and all fixed, no more lights turning off in the pitch black, down a grade, towing a boat.
