hey guys, first i want to say im a 19 year old who'll be entering college next year and ive always loved trucks. my first 3 vehicles were nothing compared to this beast that i own now, but maybe the truck i learned 5spd on will rival it (2002 Toyota Tacoma v6 supercharged shortshifted 5spd 4x4).
my beautiful tank is a 1971 Ford F-250 Ranger XLT with the contractors special package, and a 390 v6 with a C6 tranny to make the truck all round sexy!
although i have small and fast vehicle history, this beast is a very welcome change, first, its huge and ALL STEEL, second, its before 1975 so it doesn't require smog registration, and just the fact its an old American truck is enough in itself!
after growing up in the Silicon Valley ive become very curious with crazy good ideas, so ill be utilizing my large awesome vehicle as a testbed for certain experiments and automotive efficiency and modernization mods. such as a large home-fab hydrogen fuelcell that hopefully will turn that 9mpg into something a little less painful haha, in the coming months, ill keep updates on my progress because this technology is already out there, but maybe implementation to these particular kinds of trucks would to a great amount of good.
have a good one!
btw my trucks name is Basan, wikipedia it under "Japanese monsters" and you'll know why.
